Electrolysis

Electrolysis was developed in 1875 in St. Louis, when Dr. Charles Michel adapted the chemical process of electrolysis. using a wire connected to a DC battery, sliding the end of the wire alongside an ingrown eyelash hair, treating the root of the hair with direct current âš¡ the DC current caused the sodium-chloride (Salt) in the hair follicle to become sodium-hydrochloride (Lye).
Repeated electrolysis treatments compromises the ability for the hair to grow.
